About Hunger…
近所に放置された緑のバイクが一台あった。
1970年代に発売されたそのバイクは錆ながら、動くことなく5年程はそこに置かれていたと思う。
そのくたびれた風景にどこか惹かれ撮影した数日後、その場からバイクが無くなった。
街はきれいになったのだろうが、少し寂しかった。
人に必要とされ、生み出され、いつしか不要とされた鉄とプラスチックの集合体は、
鼓動を忘れて、風景とある意味で同化している。
その風景の内側で足を止めると、耳を掠る
『こんな筈じゃなかっただろ．．．』という叫び声。
その声を僕の中に残すことで介錯人となり、とどめが刺せたら幸いです。
放置バイクを媒介とし身近にある”刹那”を撮影したこの本は、
人の所業がつくる風景を記録した、鎮魂の写真集です。
There was a green motorcycle that was left nearby.
I bet it which was sold in the 1970s was left there for about five years without being moved covered in rust.
I was captivated by the quaint landscape, so I took some photos. A few days later, the motorcycle disappeared from there.
The city might have become cleaner, but I miss that landscape.
The assortment of plastic and iron that was needed, produced, and then gradually not needed anymore by humans, kind of blended into the landscape.
When I stop at the scene, the voice, like a roar, "It wasn't supposed to be this
way....
", grazes my ear.
If I were to become a second witness of the samurai period by keeping that voice in my heart and after that I would deliver the finishing blow, I would be glad.
I created the photo book using the abandoned motorcycle to capture a familiar moment. It is a photo collection of soul's requiem that documents the landscape created through human responsibility.
